I baked bread for the first time in years yesterday. Years! It was whole wheat. I’m so proud.

But pride aside, I have a pretty major complaint. I used quick-rising yeast. When all was finished & the kitchen smelled appropriately delightful, the loaf failed to rise. Failed. Miserably. The thing was so damn dense it wouldn’t even hover. I’m trying to get back into performing here, & I haven’t the time for products claiming to create levitating edibles & not producing.

Bloody false advertising. At the the bread was tasty.
