Extra credit?
I keep a close tab on the name normalityrelief, because to date, no one else I’m aware of uses this name. Anywhere. On the entire internet. Kinda proud about that. Especially given that a google search turns up 17,200 hits. I’m just all over the place!
Even so, I still was quite pleasantly surprised to discover this morning my name mentioned in a Reuters article. A REUTERS article! Needless to say, I had to fan myself something fierce just to stay conscious. I checked it out, & sure enough, down at the bottom was the single-sentence credit:
Wave and Bering Sea photo CC-licensed by Flickr users sub_lime79 and normalityrelief. Only … no photo anywhere.
Then I realized the story was taken from another site. Gotcha. No biggie. I just checked out the story on that site instead. Still no photo. It did link to a photo of mine taken of the Bering Sea from above, but didn’t seem to use it anywhere. Can anyone tell me why that is? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t need the story to use my photo, & I’m pleased as punch just to be listed on the story, but I’m confused! Anyone out there know what’s up? Is this sort of thing normal?
