I really have been getting into the whole idea of constructing my own equipment. I’ve already made one – photos & explanations to be posted soon – & now I want to keep going! I love working on things with my hands, & I don’t give myself the chance to much anymore.

DIYPhotography.net has been a great place for me just to browse for ideas, to say nothing of the many extensive step-by-step guides to various projects, like The DIY Strip Light, Just Fab’s Turkey Pan Beauty Dish, & a DIY homemade GaryFong Like Light Sphere. And it’s not solely for lighting either. It has sections for lighting, home studio, inspiration, techniques, camera hacks, & reviews.
